Lake Taupō Hospice & Confinement - The Bargain Hunt!

Lake Taupō Hospice & Confinement Escape Rooms have joined forces to create The Bargain Hunt – a unique, fundraising challenge just for local businesses and organisations. Here’s the deal: your team will head into our Hospice shops (Taupō, Tūrangi, or Over The Road) to hunt down a bargain item. Then, you’ll put your creativity to the test by flipping, upcycling, or reselling that item to raise as much money as possible for Hospice. Along the way, you’ll be competing against other businesses, showing off your team’s resourcefulness, and supporting world-class care in our community.

Here’s how it works:

• Register your team of colleagues, friends, or fellow bargain hunters

• Shop smart – each team will hunt for treasures at our local Hospice shops (Taupō, Tūrangi, and Over The Road Shop).

• Flip for fundraising – upcycle, restore, or resell your bargains to raise the most money for Hospice.

• Win big – the team that raises the most takes home the mega prize: a Confinement Escape Rooms Murder Mystery event for up to 50 people!

The fun kicks off 1 October, with weeks of hunting, flipping, and fundraising. 

Key dates: 

- Bargain Hunt begins 1st October 
- Registrations close 21st October 
- The flip-off begins 22nd October 
- The Bargain Hunt ends - 13th November
- Finale Night at Wairakei Resort - 14th November
